I bought two of these on sale at JC Penney less than a year ago. They were still more expensive then normal pillows, even on sale. At first they were comfortable, but I did not notice that they were really any cooler than a regular pillow. After using them for awhile, the fill material gathered in lumps on the edges with an indent in the center where your head rests. I tried to get them evened back out, but no luck. Will never buy these again.

This is a great pillow for about a month, then it starts getting flat. My husband LOVED the first one I bought,but complained that it had gotten flat. I got him another one thinking I must be confused about it's age. Got the new one, and dated the tag on the pillow. I was Not confused - it got flat fast. After 3 months, it looks like a pancake. Too bad as it is a nice pillow for the short time that it is a nice pillow....

I bought two pillows, one for me and one for my husband. They work okay. I do not feel my head getting as sweaty as it used to. They are for back sleepers and I happen to sleep on my back as well as my side. This pillow does not seem to have enough fill in it for me. I find myself keeping my arm underneath my pillow while I sleep. I am not dissatisfied however, I would not buy one again.

One of the smallest & lightest helmets on the market. Honest the shipping box seems to weigh more. Have the basic adjustments, chin, ear area, but nothing fancy. But even without anything extra, it fits nice and snug just like it should.

A few words of warning. It seems to run small. I ordered a large which normally would fit, and while I could get it on, it was way too thight. xl fit perfect. This is different from some other helmets I tired on, the giro xl for example, on my head felt way too large.

2/28/2010 Update:

I finally got around to actually riding in it, and learned a few things.

Tts a great helmet, very easy to forgot you are wearing it. It fits my head well and never got in the way.

There is one very slight issue. And I would have not noticed except I was renting equipment, and it was VERY crowded. In order to save weight, the designers/engineers really looked at everything, and hench the goggle clip is very minimal. I would have perfered something that actually locks in, because your goggles can fall out of the clip.


Smith Optics Maze Helmet Review by CIB1987

I really like this helmet, it fits well and hardly notice that it's there. Haven't fallen with it, so we'll see how my head fairs when I do. The one problem I have with it is the goggle clip. It is a small piece of plastic that is virtually non-existent and when I flipped my goggles up on the lift, they slid right off my helmet but thankfully to a spot on a trail I could get to. Piece of advice: If you don't want to lose your goggles while at least 30ft over the woods, don't take them off while wearing the Maze helmet. Other than that, I'll be using it until it falls apart or I crack it.

It works and offers lots of features to modify the way things sound. The headphone amplifier is the main draw of this card and it does its job very well. Really, the only criticism that I can direct toward this product is the fact that it comes with a single 3.5-to-6.5mm adapter. So if you plan on using a headset with a microphone, you will need to get a second adapter.

Maybe I was expecting too much but this card wasn't that impressive. A lot of people on head-fi.org recommended it over some other ones. It's really good at not putting out any interference. I listen to this through AKG 702's. I was hoping the built in amp would help the lack of bass on them but it didn't really help. I know a lot of people complain about the lack of bass on the 702's.

I listened in multiple formats (variable bit rate mp3, high quality flac vinyl rips, mkv videos) and didn't notice a great difference other than the lack of interference between this and my motherboard's internal sound card. I notice a difference between my computer and plugging in through my Onkyo receiver.

I've tried tweaking the settings which are kinda goofy. I might try the Uni Xonar to see if that helps.

The only other thing that I've read that makes this card great is swapping out the OPAMPs or whatever. I saw a video and it's super easy. When this card was released ASUS gave out a different set with it. Now you have to order from some manufacturer. I heard that really affects the sound but after spending $180 on a sound card, I felt it should sound good with the given processors, despite the additional cost of like $30 or $50 for new processors.

One thing to note is that this sound card requires a 4 pin molex for additional power on top of the PCIeX1 slot. It was kind of a pain since my system uses SATA power exclusively except for this and my modular power supply plugs were all used so I had to swap a power supply on one of my older SATA drives.


Asus XONAR ESSENCE STX /90-YAA0C0-0UAN00Z Review by Quadruple

This is a fantastic audio card for headphones. I have a pair of Sennheiser HD555's and was happy with them, but eventually the low quality of the motherboard's audio got to me (the definition of the sound was slightly distorted and there was too much background noise from all of the computer's electrical components). I forked out the money for the Asus Xonar Essence STX and WOW, I don't regret it at all. The HD555's are known as a very flat sounding pair of headphones, everything is almost equally represented, however the bass is on the low side. Once I plugged these puppies into the new audio card they were brought to life, the listening experience really takes over. The soundstage is better defined, the sound much crisper and punchier, the bass slightly improved, I could go on...but to put it simply, it just makes everything better! I found myself up til 2am listening to music when I first got it. If I had any complaints they are that the quick start guide is almost worthless and this isn't the absolute best audio card out there, but it makes a very good 2nd place.

Don't use the drivers that come with the card on the CD, go to Asus's website and download the updated drivers. Also you can't just plug this in to your PCI Express 1 slot and expect it to work, it needs a molex connector as well so make sure your computer's power supply can support it. You can swap out the op amps if needed (audiophile stuff), so if you're not super happy with the sound initially it's not the end of the world.

I listen to this through AKG 702's. I was hoping the built in amp would help the lack of bass on them but it didn't really help. I know a lot of people complain about the lack of bass on the 702's.

I listened in multiple formats (variable bit rate mp3, high quality flac vinyl rips, mkv videos) and didn't notice a great difference other than the lack of interference between this and my motherboard's internal sound card. I notice a difference between my computer and plugging in through my Onkyo receiver.

I've tried tweaking the settings which are kinda goofy. I might try the Uni Xonar to see if that helps.

The only other thing that I've read that makes this card great is swapping out the OPAMPs or whatever. I saw a video and it's super easy. When this card was released ASUS gave out a different set with it. Now you have to order from some manufacturer. I heard that really affects the sound but after spending $180 on a sound card, I felt it should sound good with the given processors, despite the additional cost of like $30 or $50 for new processors.

One thing to note is that this sound card requires a 4 pin molex for additional power on top of the PCIeX1 slot. It was kind of a pain since my system uses SATA power exclusively except for this and my modular power supply plugs were all used so I had to swap a power supply on one of my older SATA drives.


Asus XONAR ESSENCE STX /90-YAA0C0-0UAN00Z Review by Quadruple

This is a fantastic audio card for headphones. I have a pair of Sennheiser HD555's and was happy with them, but eventually the low quality of the motherboard's audio got to me (the definition of the sound was slightly distorted and there was too much background noise from all of the computer's electrical components). I forked out the money for the Asus Xonar Essence STX and WOW, I don't regret it at all. The HD555's are known as a very flat sounding pair of headphones, everything is almost equally represented, however the bass is on the low side. Once I plugged these puppies into the new audio card they were brought to life, the listening experience really takes over. The soundstage is better defined, the sound much crisper and punchier, the bass slightly improved, I could go on...but to put it simply, it just makes everything better! I found myself up til 2am listening to music when I first got it. If I had any complaints they are that the quick start guide is almost worthless and this isn't the absolute best audio card out there, but it makes a very good 2nd place.

Don't use the drivers that come with the card on the CD, go to Asus's website and download the updated drivers. Also you can't just plug this in to your PCI Express 1 slot and expect it to work, it needs a molex connector as well so make sure your computer's power supply can support it. You can swap out the op amps if needed (audiophile stuff), so if you're not super happy with the sound initially it's not the end of the world.

The bassinet arrived earlier than expected delivery time, was very easy to assemble and is simply gorgeous! People think I spent a fortune on it, I have to actually pull up the Amazon page on it to prove I didn't. I can't wait to see my little one sleeping in it.

As for the mattress thickness, I believe it's just fine, as I have had 3 other bassinets with my older children, it is exactly what I expect from a bassinet mattress. In addition, for anyone using a movement monitor that is placed beneath the mattress there is no need for additional wood or cardboard beneath it (as you'd put in a crib) with this as the base is solid wood.

As a matter of fact, compared to other bassinets I've owned, this one is by far the most sturdy and well built.

We just got the bassinet today and I was able to set up in about 20 minutes. For the most part everything went smoothly although I did have a little issue with one stubborn screw for a wheel but all is good. The shelf under wasn't what I pictured, it is a lot smaller and square. There is one screw that is visable whent he whole thing is set up and if they constructed it again, it would be nice if it had a white plug over as it stands out and it is a part that is already to put together when you get it. Mattress is thin but it is basically a standard bassinet mattress pad. I think it will do great for a bassinet in the living room. This is our 3rd child and our firt girl and we just wanted a place to put her where she wouldnt get trampled by 2 little boys.

I absolutely recommend making sure the seller is legit. If you choose to buy one for cheaper you may run the risk of getting one without the UPC, ruinning your 2 year limited warrenty. I have not had any problems with my hairdryer but some people warn of 6 month failures, so always send the warrenty card asap.

I was really excited to purchase this stroller. We got it on a trip to America. We live in Japan, and EVERYONE has this stroller. I initially wanted to purchase it before our baby was born, but back then it was over $400! (converting from yen to dollars). I'm 5'11", and I'd enviously watching tiny Japanese mothers, pushing their children this stroller with tall handles, while I pushed our Quinny Zapp with my fingertips. At last! Finally a chance to buy it.
PROS:
1)Lovely, tall handles which are great for tall parents. Never kicked it once!
2)Very lightweight and comes with a carrying strap. Great for going through airports and using as a travel stroller!
3)Nice, breathable material, and the green is not as garish as it appears in the website. We were in Las Vegas and it was hot as an oven, so it was nice to know my 2 year old wasn't sweating away.
4) Folds up easily...not one-handed as many have pointed out, but will stand up by itself in a very small space.
5) Apparently able to support up to a 70 lb. child. My daughter is 2 years old, 36 inches, and 35 lbs. The seat was up higher, and it was nice to see her legs dangle down instead of folded up, as in our former stroller.
And now for the CONS:
1) Really, there is only one, and it isn't a con if you keep in mind that this is an umbrella stroller. It is so lightweight that if you have a heavy (35 lbs?) child in it, you need both hands to maneuver it. And the more you weigh it down, say, with your diaper bag, the harder it is to push if you aren't just going in a straight line.

I live in Japan and my stroller must be the equivalent of a car to me. It must hold everything, be able to squeeze through everything, serve as a bed, highchair, grocery cart, and who knows what else, all while being pushed with one hand. The Aprica Presto is just a really nice version of an umbrella stroller. It's wonderful for traveling, in fact I would recommend it for just that. But as a day to day stroller, unless perhaps you start out using it when your child is an infant, you will find it falls short of your stroller needs.

Also, the sun shade is adequate, but could be better. Reclining is good, but I worry whether my child will be too big to use it reclining next year. It does seem surprisingly sturdy despite its light build, and the side reflectors are a nice touch too. Don't expect to put too much in the bottom basket, which is hard to access. No whistles and bells, just a very nice umbrella stroller. As I said, it's okay...

I paid $115 for the Aprica Presto in grey. If you look around, you'll see the brown or green ones available on some sites for as low as $80. The price says it all: this is a mid priced, lightweight stroller and you get what you pay for. Yes, you can find pricier strollers with one handed folds that have cup holders and storage pockets and nav systems and tivo and babies that steer and push themselves...blah blah blah...but, let's be honest: no stroller will ever be good enough for some people. I've been through 4 "lightweight" strollers. I have 1 kid. Ridiculous, right? Every stroller has its pros and cons.

For the Aprica Presto, its pros are: it looks good; it's light; compact standing fold; decent undercarriage storage; it looks good; maneuvers easily; good umbrella coverage; nice high handles; and it looks good. Did I mention how good it looks?

The cons have been summed up pretty well by other reviewers: no extras like back pockets or a front safety bar; the stupid crotch pad slides off; the 5 point harness is a 4 step process rather than 2; and the seat is at a slight recline at the most upright position.

I'm sick of buying more strollers since nothing is ever good enough. Luckily, all the issues I have with the Presto are easy enough to fix:

1. I only used the back pockets on my other strollers because their undercarriages were such a pain to get to. The presto's undercarriage is pretty accessible, wide, and higher off the ground so I don't really need the back pockets.

2. To my surprise, baby didn't really mind not having the front bar. In his other strollers he likes to kick back with his feet resting on the bar so I thought he would miss it; but, since he didn't seem to care it was missing, neither did I.

3. I safety pinned the crotch pad to the center strap so it doesn't slide off.

4. I used small zip ties to semi-permanently attach the top straps to the side straps, so buckling Baby in is a 2 step process like most other harnesses.

5. Baby likes to sit straight up, so I used a small bungee cord attached to each end of the side frames to hold up the back of the seat. Now it sits up straight so it's aligned with the frame.

I'm not sure why people complain so much about the fold? I read the instructions and tried it out. It only took one try to figure it out. It's pretty simple. Why do people have such a hard time?

All in all, a great, handsome stroller. Perfect for throwing in the back of the car or traveling with and it's easy to push.

This stroller is excellent for my tall three year old! I was worried about the size of the seat after reading the reviews, but it is perfect. My daughter is about 34 pounds and 39". She fits great! It is "nice and cozy" as she likes to say. The only challenge is that sometimes it is hard to get over certain terrain such as railroad tracks. It is fine on the concrete and indoors. I did try on the dirt, but moved over after a few minutes because I could see that the wheels were getting dirty. It did roll fine. It is not hard to open and close for me. It just took a couple of times, but now I am fine after having this for one month.

My son is 4 1/2 months old and is the most picky eater, I've tried many other formulas with no luck. This is the only one he likes. It seems to give him less gas too. I like the fact that it has more vitamins than most other formulas, except for the DHA, but I supplement the DHA by giving him 1/2 teaspoon every day in his bottle of pharmaceutical cod liver oil that contains no mercury. I use Nordic Children's DHA, and he doesn't seem to notice it's in his bottle.

I love this formula... so far, this is the only formula out there that is good for our little ones. no gmo, no anti-biotics, no harms of the chemical world...

the problem is: the powder is hard to dissolve on water...
when mixing, shaking the formula, it creates a lot of bubbles

Just to clear up some confusion here is the quote from the manufacture's website:

"Baby's Only Organic� Dairy-based Toddler Formula contains alpha-linolenic acid (ALA) and linoleic acid (LA), the fatty acid precursors for Docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) and Arachidonic acid (ARA)."

Conversion of ALA and LA by the body to the more active longer-chain metabolites is inefficient: 2-5% for DHA. So while adding ALA to your child's diet is helpful it is not a complete substitute for the ARA and DHA found in breast milk (of course no formula can match breast milk).

If you want to use this brand of formula you should consider adding DHA and ARA some other way. This same company makes a supplement called "Baby's Only Essentials� DHA & ARA" and there are others on the market.
